East Lake Elementary to South Chick Greenway Stripe Route

A painted walking and biking route connecting East Lake Elementary School to the South Chickamauga Greenway, giving students and families a safe, visible path to one of Chattanooga's best trail networks. The stripe route would use bright paint markings on sidewalks and roadways to create a continuous visual guide from the school entrance to the nearest greenway access point. This project addresses a key gap: many East Lake families live within a mile of the greenway but lack a clearly marked, comfortable route to reach it. By partnering with Hamilton County Schools and Outdoor Chattanooga, the stripe route would become a signature walking-school-bus corridor used daily by dozens of students.
